|  Help break ground on the new FGCS school garden at a SOLV-sponsored work party 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Sat., Oct. 10. Volunteers are needed to pull out old shrubs, dig post holes, set posts in concrete, bolt boards for raised beds, spread leaves and move soil. Bring garden gloves and, if you can, shovels, wheelbarrows and post hole diggers. Snacks will be provided.
The garden site is located just one-half block from school on Main St. just south of 19th Ave. on property generously donated for our use by Woodfold-Marco Manufacturing Inc. Our goal is to develop a learning garden and outdoor classroom. Please come help us get started!
