 Be sure to visit the Scholastics Book Fair at FGCS next week. Sponsored by the FGCS Parent-Teacher Organization, the book fair will be open 8 to 9:15 a.m. and 2:45-4 p.m. Mon.-Thurs. (Oct. 12-15) and 8 to 9:15 a.m. and 12:15-2:30 p.m. Fri. ( Oct. 16).
Book fairs are a great way to build your home libraries, purchase books to contribute to classroom libraries and shop for birthday and holiday gifts. A portion of sales benefits FGCS and enables us to purchase books for classrooms. Please come see what the fair has to offer!

OTHER UPCOMING EVENTS
School Garden Work Party - 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Sat., Oct. 10 at 19th Ave. and Main St. in the courtyard adjacent to Woodfold Marco Mfg., across from Good-to-Go Espresso. This SOLV Clean & Green Event will launch work on our new school garden/outdoor classroom. Volunteers are needed to build raised beds, pull out old shrubs, spread leaves and more. Bring garden gloves and, if possible, wheelbarrows, shovels and post hole diggers. Healthy snacks and lunch will be served. Contact Donna at 503-359-4600 for more information.
