Dear FGCS Families – The FGCS Board of Directors is beginning the
process of developing a strategic plan that will guide the development
of our shared vision and goals over the next five years. I am writing
to ask for your help with this important work.
The first step in strategic planning is gathering information and
opinions from parents, students, staff, board members and others.
After feedback has been gathered and compiled, the board and the
strategic planning committee will use it to strengthen the school's
mission and develop an action plan that will drive the school's
decisions and development. This process will take about three months
and we will update you about the plan as we go along.
Next week you will receive a survey asking you about the our mission,
programs, strengths and weaknesses. You will have the option of
completing the survey electronically or on paper. In households where
both parents reside with the student, you are asked to complete only
one survey. Where parents live separately, we ask that each parent
complete a survey.
A link to the electronic survey will be sent to you in an e-mail and a
paper copy will be included in your child's progress report, which
will come home next week. Please take a few minutes to complete the
survey. Your experience and insights will play an important role in
guiding the planning process.
