Dear FGCS Families and Friends -
On behalf of the FGCS Board of Directors, I am pleased to share that we are ready to kick off the next phase of our Strategic Planning process. With your help, we will implement the goals and strategies identified from months of hard work by teachers, board members, staff, parents and other community members. The strategic plan will guide us in further developing a strong, vibrant school community dedicated to scholarship, stewardship and citizenship. The plan can be found by clicking the link at the bottom of this message or on the Documents page at www.fgcschool.org.
With the input of the school community, we identified the top six priorities to focus on over the next two years. In order to achieve these goals, we will need help in the following areas:
Ecoliteracy/Sustainability Curriculum
Professional Development
Strategic Partnership
Communication
Facilities
Assessment
There are two upcoming events that offer the chance to learn more about the strategic plan, the planning process and how you can get involved.
Back-to-School Night 6-7:30 p.m. Weds., Sept. 23: Stop by the information table in the main building to chat with strategic planning committee members.
Strategic Planning 'Meet and Greet' 7-8:30 p.m. Thurs.,Oct. 1: Hosted by the FGCS Board, this event will include an overview of the plan and breakout sessions for committees that will work to implement the strategies outlined in the plan.
We are off to a great start; but your help is needed to ensure we continue to have a school rooted in scholarship, stewardship and citizenship. Please take this opportunity to get involved.
