4-H Clubs Volunteer Roundup

Click to view this email in a browser

We're pleased to announce that Forest Grove Community School has partnered with OSU Extension 4-H in Washington County to offer after-school programs at FGCS. We need volunteers to turn this opportunity into a reality for our children and youth. Come and learn about this volunteer opportunity at 6 p.m. Tues., Sept. 29 at FGCS. 4-H staff will be on hand to share information and demonstrate some of the possibilities.

After-school programs are one of the fastest growing youth programs in the nation. The need for positive and enriching learning experiences for youth outside of the school setting is steadily growing, particularly in these economic times. 4-H will work directly with FGCS volunteers to ensure the kids have the most rewarding after school program possible.

Although many of us associate 4-H clubs with raising farm animals, 4-H has grown over the years to include topics and activities as diverse as birds/wildlife, air and flight, engineering, arts and much more - the list is as long as the imagination!

Please join us 6-7 p.m. Tuesday to learn more and get involved. For more information, contact Vanessa Gray at 503-359-4600 or v.gray@fgcschool.org.
