A reminder about all-school events planned for our last week of
school:

9-9:45 a.m. Tues., June 8 - Bridging Student Classroom Visits:
Bridging students (those moving from one FGCS level to another) will
visit their next year's classrooms. An email message was sent out this
weekend notifying parents/guardians of their students' classroom
placements for next year. Receiving classrooms have activities planned
to welcome new students and help them begin to get to know their new
teachers and classmates.

10 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Tues., June 8 - Field Day and All-School Barbecue at
Lincoln Park: Fun, games and food will be the order of the day at this
all-school event. If you're available to help, please contact Vickie
in the office at 503-359-4600 or v.jares@fgcschool.org. Students will
have a choice of hamburger or veggie burger, along with fruit, chips,
a beverage and a popsicle. The lunch is offered at no cost but
donations are welcome to help defray costs (see Vickie or Donna in the
office or at the pavilion on Tues.). Students are welcome to bring
their own lunches if they prefer.

10:30-11:30 a.m. Bridging Ceremony/Graduation at B Street Permaculture
Farm: This all-school event will celebrate those students bridging
within FGCS and those moving on to other schools - including our very
first graduate, Rose Thompson, age 16. Family members of bridging
students are welcome but must have a signed consent form on file with
Pacific University, which manages the farm. Please contact Vickie at
503-359-4600 or v.jares@fgcschool.org if you have not filled out a
form. FYI, we will also take an all-school photo and class photos
prior to the bridging ceremony.

1:05 p.m. Thursday - Early Dismissal - Last Day of School!

ONE MORE REMINDER ... Don't forget to check out the menu of summer
classes happening in July at FGCS on the web site at
www.fgcschool.org. The selections include: Tennis, Outdoor Adventures,
Wilderness Skills, Origami, Ukrainian Egg Decorating, Cut-Paper Art,
Catch the Wind: Hands-on Math & Science, Fashions & Fibers.
