1. Charter School Survey
Dear families: The Oregon Department of Education (ODE) is asking charter school parents and students in 3rd grade and older to complete an online survey about the Forest Grove Community School as part of its survey of all charter school statewide. The data collected in the survey is used to report to the Legislature and the federal government about public charter schools.
Please follow the link below to the ODE survey web page and look for links to the Charter School Surveys for student and parents. The surveys take only a few minutes to complete and all comments are confidential (no identifying information is asked). The survey is available until May 15th. If you are unable to complete the survey online, please let us know and we can make arrangements for you to use a school computer for this purpose.
Thanks for your cooperation in completing these surveys. If you have any questions, please contact Karen Torry.

2. Spirit Day on Friday
I wanted to let you know about our upcoming Spirit Day Friday the 22nd. Several students in the Level III class proposed that we adopt the tradition of having Spirit Days during which we show our school spirit by dressing up in an unusual way. The first day they suggested is "Gender Bender Day" when boys can dress as girls and girls can dress as boys. They have announced to all classes that this event will be happening and have stressed to all that it is optional. This day is intended only as a fun activity for students to participate in if they are interested. --Vanessa Gray
